Club’s Statement on the incident after LS1 KLC vs SFC

Berhubung insiden yang berlaku di Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur pada hari Jumaat lalu dengan keputusan seri 3-3 menentang Selangor FC, KLCFC mengutuk sekeras-kerasnya perlakuan orang ramai yang terlibat dalam menyebabkan, menyebarkan dan membiarkan kejadian tersebut.
Bagaimanapun, pihak kelab juga ingin merakamkan ucapan terima kasih dan penghargaan kepada pasukan keselamatan yang bertindak pantas untuk menghalang tindakan segelintir individu yang tidak bertanggungjawab yang cuba merampas keghairahan perlawanan yang sengit sepanjang 94 minit di atas padang.
Justeru itu, KLCFC turut memuji pihak berkuasa yang bergerak pantas untuk membendung kejadian yang berlaku di perkarangan Stadium Bolasepak Kuala Lumpur. Menurut Stanley Bernard yang merupakan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif kelab itu berkata “Daripada klip yang telah tersebar, jelas dapat dilihat daripada pegawai polis dan marshall bertindak balas dengan cepat terhadap situasi itu. Ini adalah kerana langkah awal kami menempatkan lebih ramai anggota keselamatan untuk perlawanan ini”.
Stanley meyakinkan peminat bahawa “Ia sentiasa menjadi keutamaan kami untuk memastikan peminat dari seluruh dunia berasa selamat dan terjamin apabila mereka berkumpul untuk menonton perlawanan kami. Dengan itu, adalah menjadi tanggungjawab kami untuk memastikan anda bahawa kami membenci setiap tindakan provokasi atau hooliganisme yang berlaku, dan bersama-sama dengan pihak berkuasa masing-masing, kami akan cuba mengenal pasti punca dan membasmi punca yang memalukan permainan ini”.

In relation to the incidents which occurred at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium on Friday, at the end of the 3-3 draw against Selangor FC, KLCFC strongly condemns the behaviour of the people who were involved in causing, propagating, and condoning such acts.
However, the club also wishes to extend our thanks and appreciation to the security team who moved quickly to quell the actions of a few irresponsible individuals that tried to hijack a relatively peaceful and keenly contested affair throughout the 94 minutes on the pitch.
In praising the authorities who moved rapidly to stem the tide of unruliness, Stanley Bernard, Chief Executive Officer of the club said “From the clips that have been circulating, it can clearly be seen from that police officers and marshalls reacted quickly to the situation at hand. This was due to our preemptive measures in deploying more security personnel for this match”.
Stanley reassured fans that “It has always been our utmost priority to ensure that fans from all over feel safe and secure when they come together to watch our matches. With that being said, it is our utmost responsibility to assure you that we abhor every act of provocation or hooliganism that happens, and together with the respective authorities, we shall try to identify the culprits and root out the bad apples who bring shame to this game”.
