Gallifuoco’s Agony, Raring To Return

Kuala Lumpur City sorely missed the presence of key player Gallifuoco, who was suspended during the 3-2 defeat against Kedah Darulaman last Wednesday in Alor Setar, following his dismissal for a second yellow card in the Super League opener with Selangor.

Watching from the comfort of his home, was no scant consolation for the Australian, who’s now into his second season with City Boys.

He shared the agony of watching his teammates struggle to cope, with The Voice of The City Boys, “I found it very difficult to watch my team go to battle without me! A really tough 90 minutes against a good opponent, but we were back on the pitch for training today   (Friday) with all our eyes on Sunday’s match!”, as he drew attention to the FA Cup first round fixture at home against Langkawi.

GG, as he is fondly known, will be back in contention for a place in the starting line-up, exclaimed excitedly at the prospect of his FA Cup competition debut, following its cancellation last season, “My first Malaysian FA Cup experience, I can’t wait for us to be out there in front of our fans and get us back to winning ways!”.

The City Boys will be eager to put on a professional performance and seek their first win of the season, even though it doesn’t count for any points. We will also be looking for a morale-boosting result to bring back some cheer that will do us good throughout the long break before the next Super League fixture at home to Johor DT on April 6, 2022.
