Nabil Blossoming in Return to Home

It was the break that the 23-year-old Nabil had been looking for since returning to the all familiar territory where it all began for him when coach Bojan sent him out as amongst the eleven to start against Langkawi City in their FA Cup first round goal-fest home on Sunday.

The left-back who spent 2 seasons in 2018 & 2019 as an Under-21 in the City Boys’ Presidents Cup squad, flew from the nest a year later, gaining 2 years of ‘invaluable experience as a professional with Petaling Jaya City,  finally showed Bojan that he was ready, gaining a maiden start in the colours of the Red & White.

He exhibited a purposeful presence down the left side, often swinging in dangerous crosses into the opponent’s box, as our City Boys easily rolled over the islanders 8-0.

As much as he puts in effort in his defensive duties, Nabil loves to bombard the pitch running down the channels to create space and support for his teammates.

He was thankful for the opportunity given, as told by The Voice of The City Boys, “Praise to Allah, I am proud to have made my first start of the season and I am satisfied with my own performance, although there is room for improvement. I will keep working hard in training, especially during these 3 weeks.”

Coach Bojan knows all about the qualities that Nabil has, having worked with the boy while he was the National Under-19 coach.  The Kuala Lumpur born player has also involved in the National Under-22 side.
