It was a fun times for the City Boys’ players and team officials when they chose to let off steam in a day filled with laughter, joy and games, as well as plenty of pain, when they visited Southern Legion Paintball Park’s facility in Kajang, Selangor on Sunday.
With the exception of Zhafri and Mendoza, who are busy with their national assignment’s, and the injured trio of Nik Shahrul, Azim and Izreen, most of the team officials and players joined the festivities of the day, while Chief Executive Officer, Stanley and head coach, Bojan, sat watching from the pavilion, not wanting to be punished!
Following a quick breakfast, the activities began with a safety briefing by the facility managers, on the do’s and don’t’s of paintball, and soon after it was all guns blazing. The City Boys’ entourage were divided into 9 groups, and the competition format was all too familiar for us in football, round-robin.
After half a day of battling and spreading (pain)t, the team consisting of Safee, Declan, Nabil and Iqbal (Masseuse), inflicted the most paint on everyone to emerge as champs, winning 7 of their 8 games. Paulo, Aiman, Almeida (Goalkeeper Coach) and Syafiq (Media Officer) finished as runner-up. Third place went to Akram, Irfan, Shukor (Assistant Coach) and Haris (Coordinator & Administrator), while the team of Romel, Azhar, Shaqirin and Afeeq (Fitness Coach) were fourth.
