Bojan: The Boys Don’t Need Motivation. They Know What They Have To Do

Kuala Lumpur City has somewhat become a bogey team colliding against much bigger teams in the Super League. While The City Boys beat Johor in Piala Malaysia 2021 on the tournament’s 100th anniversary, Johor defeated us in the Piala Sumbangsih.

The 8th consecutive Super League Champions come into the match as the stronger team, “We all know that they have quality players — the best local and foreign players in Malaysia are playing for them. It won’t be easy, it will be tough.” Bojan spoke of their calibre to The Voice Of City Boys. In addition, “JDT always have the same playing style. Tactically, they cannot find anything new. We know how they play. We stick to our plan, and the boys don’t need any motivation. They are focused on the plan I have given to them.”

Kuala Lumpur City had to manage the injuries affecting the team. Zhafri has reported back for training with an injury, “We are monitoring his (Zhafri) situation right now, we are not sure whether he will play tonight or not.” On the other hand, Romel Morales just joined the team in training, “Romel will definitely play tonight but he is not fit enough for high tempo 90 minutes match. We are still deciding whether to start him first or come in as a substitute.” This is surely good news for Kuala Lumpur City fans. After his performance last season, the fans eagerly wait for him to make his first appearance.
