Bojan has favoured Azri Ghani in the AFC Cup this year to ensure the other foreign outfield players are available for squad selection on matchdays. Somehow, Azri Ghani maintains his match fitness and performance in the AFC Cup, although he has yet to feature in any of the Super League games.
“The team trains at a high level, so it should be no problem. Only through matches can you gain match fitness. However, the team trains as close to the match intensity.
Not just me, but the less-used players are also ready to come in.”
“If God wills, I will do my best in Uzbekistan if I am put to play in the starting eleven. I will show my capability in the match with what I have trained with the team. We have a strong team, a high-spirited team that raises the overall team morale. It should be no problem for me.”
Azri Ghani who has been one of the key players defensively, has helped the City Boys to qualify through to the AFC Cup Inter-Zone Finals. Surely, if he is fielded by Bojan, he will look to continue his impressive performance.
