The Captain Marvel, Paulo Josue, scored the first goal against Sarawak United which resulted to a victory of 5-0 at Stadium Cheras.
“We all know how strong we are at Cheras, we missed playing at our home ground and it is tough to have played six games consecutively away from home. After a win against Sarawak United, we will go into the match against PFC Sogdiana with much more confidence and without pressure.”
As the City Boys about to play their AFC Cup Inter-Zone Finals, they travelled to Uzbekistan for another away game. This match will determine who will go on to the Final of AFC Cup 2022.
“This might be the most crucial game in the club’s history but at the same time, we keep ourselves grounded after the big win against Sarawak United.”
Including today, the City Boys has spent 5 days at Uzbekistan. One of the challenges is the weather. Paulo said, “Over here, it’s colder and the air is dryer. Some of us has chapped lips! Because it’s colder, we are progressively adapting to the weather here.”
“With that said, we are coming into this game with no pressure. We know we are punching above our weights, and we will give our all in the upcoming match. When we give 120%, hopefully, we can get a positive result. Most importantly, we are proud to bring the Malaysian Flag at this stage, and we want to go further.”
The Brazilian born captain has helped the City Boys, being involved in the attacking department, scoring important goals, and assisting. Who would forget the thundering shot against ATK Mohun Bagan which the City Boys won 3-1.
With a huge responsibility that comes with the captain armband, he knows he can depend on his teammates.
